Great Songs of the Sky
began in 2005 as a Tribute Concert
to the music of
The Hurdy Gurdy Man,
Donovan Leitch
July 7, 2007, Great Songs of the Sky
celebrated it's Grand Opening as a
nonprofit organization with a focus on
healing through the arts.

Great Songs of the Sky plans to
continue with & augment the Donovan
Tribute Concert, as well as branch out
into theatre, fine arts, dance and other
uncategorizable art forms in various
formats including performance,
workshops and education.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Great Songs of the Sky is dedicated to
original performing and other art as it
pertains to healing in both scientific
and metaphysical realms,
and especially as they relate to
color, sound, movement and humor.

Focus for 2008:

Re-creating the Donovan Tribute Concert  to
include a  larger quantity & cross section of
the community whilst  benefiting local
charities.

Presenting affordable house concerts in
intimate settings.

Forming a middle eastern/folk dance troupe
open to women of all ages and skill levels.

Presenting and encouraging all forms of art
to all members of the community in both
participatory & audience capacities.
