| Andy Hoover March 6, 1983 - February 21, 2008 On February 17, 2008, two of American River College Theatre Arts Department's brightest stars - Andy Hoover and Jenna Faeth - were involved in an auto accident which claimed their lives. Jenna was killed on impact. Andy sustained severe brain injuries, and passed on four days later. Andys' family donated his organs and as a result, as many as six other lives have been saved. Andy Hoover has participated in American River College Theatre productions since he was a little boy, often under the tutelage of his Mother, Pamela Hoover-Downs, an ARC drama professor. Since becoming a young adult, ARC is hard pressed to find a production that Andy was not involved in either on stage, or as an innovative technician. He is truly beloved by all. In addition to being a fan of PIRATES - Argh! - fantasy games and theatre, Andy (and his Mother Pamela) are big fans of Donovan. Both accompanied a large group from ARC in 2004 for Donovan's debut in San Francisco of his Beat Cafe CD. Great Songs of the Sky is honoured to remember Andy in a concert on Sept 19 at the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival, as we sing Donovan's songs of seasons and cycles, life, death and rebirth, with 100% of the proceeds going to the Andy Hoover Trust Fund. Thoughts and Prayers for the friends and families of Andy & Jenna are ongoing. www.myspace.com/arctheatrevigil |
