Great Songs of the Sky was
conceived by Sacramento area
musical theatre director Lucy
D'Mot, as the result of dream
she received on July 7, 2003
while vacationing in Pacific
Grove, CA with her dogs
Frances & Beau. Baffled and
a wee bit annoyed that this
idea would not let go just as
she was on the  verge of
musical retirement,  Lucy
pursued the idea of a
"Donovan Musical"  through
American River College and
the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival.
Soon, ARC

Bob Irvin,
and ARC
dance
director
Sunny Smith,
enthusiastically joined with Lucy and the Fair Oaks Theatre Festival to co-direct this exciting new tribute concert.
a few revisions,
Along the way a few
chats with Donovan,
and some soul searching,
finally resulted in the perfect format and  cast for a tribute concert to Donovan, Great Songs of the Sky
premiering as a joint production with Fair Oaks Theatre Festival and American River College, August 26, 2005!!!
